Presidents Message
I have been to Brownwood again. I like it more all the time. Ben Sargent
and I took scooters this time and done some riding. The hill on US 67
West isn’t as steep as it looked, but it sure is long. Made our cast
irons work but we made it in high gear (although not too fast).
Brownwood has several historic points of interest, and if trains are of
interest check out the railroad museum and model RR across from the RV
Parking.
Some important information for you; The Early Bird Supper will be at
Taquito Millonario Restaurant at 308 Early Blvd., in front of the Early
Mall at 5:00 P.M. Wednesday the 23rd.
The new Vice President when Debbie moves up to President will be Les
Wilson. Les was a board member for several years before health problems.
He and Janie along with their children Joey and Jalynn pretty much put
on the Gainesville meet in 1999. The future looks good for the Club.
The Paris Meet date has been set so mark your calendars for June 22-25,
2011. And I know this isn’t when you wanted it! But unless we bite the
bullet and say to heck with the other meets and set ours for the second
full week in June that’s the way it’s got to be.
Get your scooters serviced up, and if you have a show scooter be sure to
shine it up for the show. Bragging rites come with winning. See you in
Brownwood.
